Norby family marks 8-month anniversary of Brussels bombing

Tuesday marked the eight-month anniversary of two bombs exploding in Belgium's Brussels Airport. Richard Norby was one of four missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who was injured in the blasts.

His family has maintained a Facebook page that has followed his recovery. The Norby family has posted several videos of the former missionary walking without assistance and working with a physical therapist.

A Miraculous Walk. Richard Norby - November 2016.

On Tuesday of last week, the Norby family posted about the anniversary of the bombing. In the post one of the Norby's children wrote, "As I type, our parents are doing their first full lap of walking around Temple Square. Unassisted, bundled up for cold weather, and smiling the entire time. An anniversary milestone, for sure. God is truly a God of miracles."

The post also shared a portion of a journal entry by Richard Norby and his wife, Pam, from Nov. 22. “During this season of celebration and in the spirit of Christmas we extend our very best wishes to all who have a place in our hearts,” it reads. “Our best wish would be that Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, would shine bright in the lives of all people throughout the world, not only during this Christmas season but every day of the year.”
