We have upperclassmen who have stepped up and have embraced the role to lead through example both on and off the court. We have been competitive day in and day out in our practices and know it will pay off in games regardless of the outcome. Our mindset has been to set standards of excellence through our leadership on and off the court. That's what successful programs are about new or established. Coach comment: “I think we have a couple of keys to be successful this season. First of all we need to have numerous new girls step up to help our two returning starters, to fill the void left by Liz Eaton graduating. Second, we need to get back to being one of the most effective defensive teams in the league, and third, we need to focus on being a better rebounding team. This year's team has a lot of potential, but also a lot of unproven talent. With only two returning starters, we could have some growing pains early, but we also have some talented new players to fill the voids left by the graduated seniors from last year — mainly Courtney Anderson, a junior who played some varsity minutes for us last season, and Maddie Eaton, a sophomore who will be a varsity contributor for us this season. We also hope to have a strong post presence this season with seniors Karlee Worthington and Samantha Hansen."
