Letter: Flawed thinking

Voting for a third party candidate is senseless. Let's assume for a moment that this candidate wins one hundred percent of the vote. He will never get elected, and will probably not receive enough notoriety to help himself politically. Ross Perot was a good example. All who vote for a third party candidate have zero effect on the national political election. Regardless of how bad the major candidates are, these voters blew their only chance to effect the election. That's a high price to pay for using your vote to make one feel good or self righteous or whatever.
