For the second-consecutive week, Dixie State senior goalkeeper Bradley Trella was named Pacific West Conference Defender of the Week on Monday for his efforts in the Trailblazers’ three wins last week.

Trella (6-foot-2; Chandler, Arizona/Chandler HS/Yavapai CC) started and won all three games in goal to close out the regular season and helped lead the Trailblazers to their first PacWest championship and a perfect 13-0-0 conference record. He made 12 total saves and surrendered three goals (one on a penalty kick) in 275:52 of game action. Trella tied his own school record with 10 wins on the season and is second all-time in DSU’s NCAA D-II era in career wins with 20. He currently leads the PacWest and is ranked 32nd nationally in goals against average (0.895).

Dixie State (15-3-0), which finished the regular season with a school record 15-consecutive victories, will find out Monday if it will be awarded its first-ever NCAA Tournament bid as the 2016 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Selection announcement takes place at 4:30 p.m. MT.
