In a recent video published by Mormon Channel, members of two faiths have joined together to help children in Los Angeles, California, with their schoolwork. Young single adults, who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have teamed up with a local Baptist church to tutor children in the area.

The Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church started the program to assist children from struggling families and communities. LDS young adults come to the Baptist church one night a week to help the children.

In the video, Pastor Nicholas says the success of the LDS young adults, “[sets] a wonderful example for our young people.” He said, since the beginning of the tutoring program, kids have gone from having failing grades to having B’s and A’s.
