The 2017 college football recruiting cycle is hitting the home stretch, but BYU has received a commitment from a local prospect for the 2018 class.
On Saturday, Herriman tight end/defensive end Tevita Fotu announced via Twitter his pledge to the Cougars.
Listed at 6-foot-7, 255 pounds, Fotu recorded 41 tackles and four sacks for the Mustangs in 2016.
He is the brother of University of Utah freshman defensive end Leki Fotu.
Tevita Fotu did not return a message seeking additional comment.
