PRICE — Price police seized a "substantial" amount of marijuana and methamphetamine after a traffic stop in Price on Friday.
The Price Police Department said an officer pulled over a vehicle near 400 S. 400 East in Price shortly after midnight on Friday because the vehicle had a revoked registration for not having insurance.
Inside, the officer found almost a pound of marijuana and more than an ounce of meth, according to the police department.
Police also found various drug paraphernalia, including a scale, packaging materials for distribution and syringes, according to a statement released Sunday.
The driver of the vehicle, Ryan Scott Ferguson, 43, of Sunnyside, was booked into the Carbon County Jail for investigation of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a second-degree felony, as well as several misdemeanors, including possession of paraphernalia, driving on a revoked registration and driving with no insurance.
Police said Ferguson has 25 previous arrests, including previous drug offenses, aggravated assault with a firearm, domestic violence, alcohol violations, theft and forgery.
