KAYSVILLE — Police are warning motorists who recently filled up at a 7-Eleven in Kaysville of a possible skimming scam.

On Monday, employees at 7-Eleven, 385 W. 200 North, discovered "suspicious wiring" on gas pump No. 9. Kaysville police are working with the FBI to figure out who put the device there.

"It is not known with certainty how long the device has been in place or if any credit card information has been compromised," Kaysville police said in a prepared statement Tuesday.

No suspicious devices were found in any of the other pumps.

Police are encouraging anyone who recently used a credit or debit card on pump No. 9 at that convenience store to keep a close watch on their account transactions.

Anyone with information about the possible scam is asked to contact the Kaysville Police Department at 801-546-1131.
