Photos: A wild day of wintry weather

Sarah Workman sleds down a hill in Millcreek on Friday after a cold front blasted through northern Utah, producing lightning, thunder, hail and snow. The storm closed eastbound I-80 at Parleys Canyon, caused hundreds of homes to lose electricity, and prompted an avalanche warning as it blew through the area. Residents along the Wasatch Front should expect to see snow continue into early Saturday, with skies clearing later in the day. Low temperatures will drop into the teens, and the highs will top out in the 20s. Sunday is expected to be sunny but cold, as temperatures will remain well below normal through early next week.
