Letter: Protect integrity of POTUS

I write today to the Deseret News and the good people of the Utah 3rd Congressional District with an appeal to help protect the integrity of the office of the President of the United States.

As you know, the honorable Jason Chaffetz is both your Representative in Congress and the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee. Mr. Chaffetz is in a unique position to ensure that the incoming President upholds the Oath of Office and is free from conflicts of interest. I hope Mr. Chaffetz and the Committee he chairs will fulfill their Constitutional duty as a critical check and balance, and I urge the Deseret News and its readers to remind Mr. Chaffetz of this essential function.

The people of Utah have a sterling reputation as exemplars of morality. I am relieved this patriotic burden has fallen on such an upright constituency, and I have faith that Mr. Chaffetz and the good people that have elected him will do their utmost to safeguard the virtue of America.
