Viewers began voting yesterday for the top 10 contestants on the 15th and final season of “American Idol," and one Utah native is hoping to make the cut.

A YouTube video shows Jenn Blosil’s Wednesday night performance. At the beginning of the episode, the judges gave four contestants a pass straight to the top 10. The other six spots will be determined by viewers' votes.

Each contestant sang a song from earlier in the season. Blosil, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, performed “True Colors.” She was disappointed by her original performance of this song during the third round of Hollywood Week.

“I want to give a song justice, and I don’t feel like I did,” Blosil said in the Hollywood Week episode.

In this week’s episode, judge Harry Connick Jr., who criticized Blosil in the last two episodes, praised her performance.

“I knew that you had it in you,” he said. “I had a problem with the way you sang ‘My Funny Valentine’ last week because I was hoping you would have sung it like you sang this. In my opinion, that was a flawless lyric delivery.”

Voting remained open until this morning. The results will be announced during tonight’s episode.

Several celebrities took to social media to express their support for Blosil.

Lindsey Stirling, an LDS musician known for her electronic violin music, shared a post on Twitter about the shows she and Blosil did together in Provo, Utah.

Naomi Davis, the creator of the Love Taza blog, shared a video on Instagram and said Blosil baby-sits her children.

Daisy Clementine Smith, an LDS model, shared a photo on her Instagram account encouraging people to vote for Blosil.

Emily Smith, who writes a blog about modest fashion, posted on Instagram and said she grew up next to Blosil in Orem, Utah.
