EAGLE MOUNTAIN — A 2-year-old boy fell from the second story of an Eagle Mountain home Friday, suffering life-threatening injuries.

The boy fell out the window of a home in the area of Cornwall Way and Inverness Lane just a few minutes after 5 p.m., Unified Fire Authority spokesman David Ulibarri said.

The boy was flown by helicopter to Primary Children's Hospital in critical condition "to give him his best chance at survival," Ulibarri said.

The fall is believed to be an accident, according to Ulibarri. It wasn't clear Friday what led to the boy falling.

The home the boy fell out of is in an Eagle Mountain subdivision known as The Ranches.
