SALT LAKE CITY — Sherrie Hayashi, chief of the Utah Labor Commission, has announced the appointment of Alison Adams-Perlac as the new director of the anti-discrimination and labor division.
Adams-Perlac received her undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and her Juris Doctor from the U.’s S.J. Quinney College of Law.
During her career, Adams-Perlac was employed with Catholic Community Services in the immigration and refugee resettlement department. She later worked as a guardian ad litem, representing abused and neglected children. She then spent four years in the Administrative Office of the Courts, serving as the juvenile court law clerk to all of Utah’s juvenile court judges before being promoted to associate general counsel.
“Educating the public concerning their rights and responsibilities as they pertain to labor and housing issues is important to me,” Adams-Perlac said in a prepared statement.
