Video: Kent Myers says he's ready to lead offense, 'get respect back from the defense' at USU's 1st spring practice

LOGAN — Last year, Kent Myers went into spring practices not knowing if he would play in the regular season at all.

After breaking Utah State's single-game rushing record for a quarterback and throwing for 15 touchdowns, he comes into this spring as the focal point of the offense.

He said he's ready to lead and that he's ready for his offense to get its respect back after not being as strong as the defense in the past couple years at spring practices.

"The last couple years, the defense has kind of been beating us up," Myers said after the Aggies' first spring practice on Wednesday. "So we're trying to get that view of the offense as a strong offense."
