WEST BOUNTIFUL — Construction on Pages Lane between 800 West and I-15 will take place between now and the end of June.
The project involves upgrading a 50-year-old waterline and increasing storm drainage capacity. A grant from the Utah Department of Transportation will fund curb construction where it is currently missing and dedicated bicycle lanes on both sides of the street. The city is also filling in gaps of sidewalk on both sides of the street to improve access to West Bountiful City Park.
The road will remain open through the project, but motorists are encouraged to slow down and be careful. Construction should be finished in time for Independence Day festivities.
In addition UDOT will replace the surface of 400 North between 800 West in West Bountiful and Main Street in Bountiful. This project will take the entire summer. Work between 500 West and I-15 will be delayed until June to give the city as much time as possible to complete the Pages Lane project. Construction west of I-15 will not begin until July and will take roughly 60 days to complete.
