“If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would you choose?”
MasterFoods Australia posed this question to Australian families in a YouTube video uploaded in February.
In the video, the parents first answer the question. Their answers range from musician Justin Bieber to Bob Hawke, a former prime minister of Australia.
Then it is the children’s turn to answer the question. Most of their answers revolve around family.
The video is part of MasterFoods’ “Make Dinnertime Matter” campaign. The company researched the role of food in Australian homes and released its findings in a report.
“As the data suggests, many aspire to become more mindful about dinnertime: understanding that the choices we make about our own food influence more than just our own health and well-being,” psychologist Sabina Read wrote in the study. “We are not just what we eat; we are a product of how people eat around us, and it serves us all if we can find ways to better connect over food.”
