Linda Carlo learned about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through the Osmond family, and now, a member of that family has inspired her to swim 250 miles.

According to Mormon Newsroom United Kingdom, Carlo will swim 250 miles in 12 months. Carlo, 56, documents her progress on her blog. So far, she has logged 156 miles.

In 2015, Justin Osmond ran 250 miles to raise funds to buy hearing aids for children. Inspired by Osmond, Carlo is donating the money she raises to The Hearing Fund UK, an organization led by Osmond that offers musical tuition to deaf children.

"I feel a need to give something back to this lovely family who have meant so much to me over the years," Carlo told Mormon Newsroom United Kingdom.
