Devontae Booker didn't wait to get settled in with the Denver Broncos before making a big statement.

At the NFLPA Rookie Premiere last week Booker said both that he wasn't with the Broncos to "carry someone's pads" and that he was there "to take someone's job."

The former Utah running back who was drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft didn't offend Broncos running back C.J. Anderson or head coach Gary Kubiak.

Anderson, who started for Denver last year, applauded Booker's competitive spirit. Kubiak used Booker's attitude as an example for other newcomers to follow, but stressed the importance of backing up confidence with work.

BYU selling more tickets for Arizona game

Playing against Arizona in Arizona, BYU football could feel right at home in its opener.

The two teams are set to meet on Sept. 3 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and according to Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne, more tickets have been sold to BYU fans.

As relayed by Vanquish the Foe, Byrne urged Wildcat fans on 1030 KVOI radio to make the trip to the game, citing current ticket sales.

When it comes to gaming, Utah Jazz player Gordon Hayward is just a regular guy.

That's what James Hansen found out, as he joined Hayward's clan in an app game called Clash Royale.

Hansen wrote at slcdunk.com about joining Hayward's group and interacting with him through the game. He observed the NBA baller's leadership, strategy and competitiveness in building his clan.

Recently, Hayward has taken to Twitter as a recruiter.
