Former Utah State wide receiver Devonte Robinson was released by the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday, the team announced.

The rookie wideout was waived with a non-football illness designation, according to the NFL's daily transaction log.

Robinson, who wasn't selected in this year's NFL draft, signed as an undrafted free agent with Green Bay and was one of three Aggie rookies on the Packers' roster. That included linebacker Kyler Fackrell, who the Packers drafted in the third round, and safety Marwin Evans, who signed with Green Bay after trying out with Seattle.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Robinson faced a tall task in making it to the regular season with the Packers, as the team still has 11 other wide receivers on its roster. Robinson had 20 receptions for 326 yards and two touchdowns in 2015.
