COALVILLE — An Ogden man was killed in a single-car rollover Friday near Coalville, according to Utah Highway Patrol.

Nicholas Accordino, 37, was driving west on I-80 in a 1993 Mitsubishi. Around 4:40 p.m., the Mitsubishi veered off the left shoulder and rolled, police said.

Accordino, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected through the back window, according to UHP trooper Cameron Roden. Accordino was the only person in the car.

Witnesses said the Mitsubishi was driving erratically prior to the crash, police reported.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

There were no immediate signs of impairment, Roden said. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The accident closed freeway lanes for about three hours.
