Because of all of the weather delays at Thursday’s opening round of the U.S. Open at Oakmont CC, neither Daniel Summerhays nor Tony Finau got out of the starting blocks.

The pair from Utah were scheduled to tee off early afternoon with Summerhays going off at 12:30 p.m. local time and Finau to follow at 12:52. However, only 78 of the 156 golfers played at all Thursday, with only nine players finishing their rounds.

Summerhays and Finau will be among the first golfers to tee off Friday morning and then they’ll have to turn right around and start their second rounds, but may not have time to complete their rounds, depending on the weather.
