UVU basketball: Utah Valley to break ground on NUVI Basketball Center on Wednesday

Utah Valley University will celebrate the construction of a new basketball practice and conditioning facility when it hosts groundbreaking ceremonies for the NUVI Basketball Center on Wednesday at 11 a.m., on the south side of the UCCU Center.

The event will feature the UVU Green Man Group, Cheerleaders, Willy the Wolverine and refreshments. The ceremony will be streamed live through the UVU Athletics website.

Numerous former and current players will be in attendance, including UVU all-time leading scorer Ryan Toolson who continues to play professionally overseas. Former UVU and NBA player Travis Hansen will also be in attendance.

The new practice facility will be named the NUVI Basketball Center after a lead donation from NUVI Executive Chair Keith Nellesen. The structure will be located on the south side of the UCCU Center on UVU's Orem campus.

Parking will be available at the UCCU Center visitor lot.
