The BYU football program continued to stock up its 2018 class on Wednesday, receiving a commitment from a local prospect.
Herriman High School lineman Jaren Kump announced via Twitter that he had received a scholarship offer from the Cougars and quickly committed.
It was the first offer for a player who appears on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Mustangs.
As a junior this fall, the 6-foot-5 Kump will be looking to help Herriman defend its 5A state title.
He was not immediately available for additional comment.
