Oval Racing Series returns to Rocky Mountain Raceways

WEST VALLEY CITY ‒ Rocky Mountain Raceways’ popular Oval Racing Series will return to the America First Credit Union Super Oval on Saturday, June 4. The event will feature five different races classes as well as Track Attack, a challenge competition in which locals get to race their own cars on the oval.

Featured in Saturday night’s schedule will be Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Jr. Stingers and Figure 8 Trains.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and cars will be on track for qualifying at 5 p.m. Heat races will start at approximately 6 p.m., followed by opening ceremonies and featured races.

Track Attack is a competition in which local drivers — not professional racers — test their own cars on the AFCU Super Oval. Each participating driver drives his or her car on the track for four times laps. The driver wit the fastest time at the end of the evening will be declared the winner.

Nightly winners plus a few of the fastest times from throughout the season will come back for a race-off at the end of the season.
