Morning links: BYU's schedule ranked fourth-most difficult; Utes' Phillips projected as All-American

If putting together a respectable schedule is a main challenge of football independence, BYU has gone above and beyond in 2016.

CBS Sports writer Tom Fornelli ranked the top five most difficult FBS schedules on Thursday, and placed the Cougars at No. 4.

Fornelli cites the fact that BYU plays 10 teams that went to a bowl game last season, along with Southern Utah that won its conference.

He concluded discussing the Cougars with, "Yeah, Kalani Sitake's first season in Provo is not going to be easy."

The three programs ranked ahead of BYU are Alabama, USC and Wisconsin.

Andy Phillips projected as a 2016 All-American

Surprise, surprise. The kicking game should be a specialty for Utah football again in 2016.

Senior kicker Andy Phillips, who has had an incredible career for the Utes, was picked to be a first team All-American in 2016 by ESPN's Mark Schlabach.

Phillips has made more than 80 percent of his field goals in all three years he's played at Utah, and has a career rate of 84 percent. Last season, Phillips made 4-of-4 from 50+ yards and tied his Ute record of 23 total field goals made.

A former walk-on, Phillips never played in a football game until his freshman year at Utah.

"Flu Game" commemorated by Jordan brand in SLC

Michael Jordan's brand is returning to the scene of the crime. That is, if stealing away an NBA title is a crime.

To commemorate the 19th anniversary of the "Flu Game" of the 1997 NBA Finals, Jordan brand is setting up shop in Salt Lake City.

The first tweet by the brand was cryptic.

Since, it has been revealed that the shop will be a temporary "pop-up" shop at Fice Gallery, and will be open on June 11. Jordan will offer a couple of exclusive designs.

Utah Jazz fans and media gave their take on the event.
