Letter: Trump and the media

The media has a unique voice and opportunity to expose corruption in government and business. As the media covers Mr. Trump, he has responded by simply labeling the media as liars, even when the media presents recorded episodes of Mr. Trump totally contradicting himself, such as with his comments about nuclear weapons and Japan.

Many years ago the media brought down a president of the United States when it found Richard Nixon and company doing unethical things. Given the terrible circumstance the country now finds itself in, that of having unethical people running for the highest position in the world, particularly on the Republican side, I hope it is not too late, but I would strongly encourage the "lying media" to do its utmost to influence public opinion toward a presidential candidate who has the integrity to tell the truth and put America before self.
