Utah State football’s season and home opener against Weber State will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network and CampusInsiders.com, it was announced Thursday. Kickoff will be at 6 p.m.
Weber State posted a 6-5 record last season and finished tied for fourth in the Big Sky Conference with a 5-3 mark.
Utah State is 13-1 all-time against the Wildcats, including an 8-1 record at home. USU has won seven-straight games in the series, including a 70-6 home victory in the last meeting between the two teams on Sept. 14, 2013, in Logan.
Overall, Utah State has 10 of its 12 regular season games this fall slated for national television as four of its games will be broadcast by CBS Sports Network and five of its games will appear on ESPN.
Utah State’s four games on CBS Sports Network include home games against Arkansas State on Friday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m.; Fresno State on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 8:30 p.m.; and San Diego State on Friday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m., as well as a road game at Colorado State on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m.
Utah State's five Mountain West games that will be nationally televised on one of the ESPN networks include its league opener at home against Air Force on Saturday, Sept. 24, its road game at Boise State on Saturday, Oct. 1, its road game at Wyoming on Saturday, Nov. 5, its regular season home finale against New Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 12, and its road game at Nevada to conclude conference play on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Kick times and specific outlets for Utah State's five ESPN games mentioned above will be determined during the course of the regular season (generally a 12-day window).
Utah State’s 2016 schedule begins with a non-conference home game against Weber State on Thursday, Sept. 1, followed by a road game at Pac-12 Conference member USC on Saturday, Sept. 10. USU then returns home to host Arkansas State the following weekend.
Utah State begins Mountain West play at home for the third-straight year as it hosts Air Force on Saturday, Sept. 24. USU then plays back-to-back Mountain West road games at Boise State and at Colorado State on Saturday, Oct. 1, and Saturday, Oct. 8, respectively.
Utah State will then have a bye before hosting Fresno State and San Diego State in back-to-back Mountain West home games on Saturday, Oct. 22, and Friday, Oct. 28, respectively.
As the calendar turns to November, Utah State plays at Wyoming on Saturday, Nov. 5, before hosting New Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 12, in its final home game. USU will then conclude its regular season with back-to-back road games against Mountain West foe Nevada on Saturday, Nov. 19, and at in-state rival BYU on Saturday, Nov. 26.
For Utah State, this year’s schedule marks the first time since 2012 that it will have three home games before the first of October, while it will also be playing consecutive road games to end a season for the first time since 2007.
The 2016 schedule will play out through 14 weeks, concluding on Saturday, Dec. 3, with the Mountain West Football Championship Game to be played at the home stadium of the highest ranked of the two divisional champions.
