We have ignored our founding principles (the Constitution) for so long that we now have the largest deficits in history, a federal welfare state where at least 20 percent of the population is receiving government handouts of various types and our credit is almost worthless. None of it is sustainable for long. You say economic collapse cannot happen here? It almost did 8 years ago under President Bush.
A recent poll stated 75 percent of the people believe the country is headed in the wrong direction. Don't say we didn't warn you, and don't kid yourself: We now have a federal government that does nothing but redistribute wealth, and is only concerned about itself and not the people.
