SALT LAKE CITY — A man wanted on murder charges was arrested without incident Thursday in Arizona, authorities say.

An Arizona state task force arrested Alfredo Lolani, 25, at a hotel in Phoenix. A warrant was issued for his arrest last month in connection with the shooting death of 31-year-old Mauricio Martinez on May 27.

Lolani is charged in 3rd District court with murder and aggravated robbery, both first-degree felonies. The bail amount on his arrest warrant was listed at $1 million.

Martinez's body was found in an abandoned car in a Mountain America Credit Union parking lot in Cottonwood Heights, 6640 S. 3000 East, according Salt Lake police. Investigators say he was killed in Salt Lake before his body was taken there.

Jorge Arturo Castanon-Serrano, 35, Marco Antonio Garcia, 25 and Lucas Troy Neilson, 36, are also charged with murder in connection with Martinez's death. The men's charges allege the men planned to rob Martinez of his car and money at 1032 S. Redwood Road and that he ended up being fatally shot.

Salt Lake police say Lolani, of West Valley City, is a known gang member.

Jail records indicate Lolani had not been extradited to Utah as of Friday night.
