PARK CITY — Bob O'Connor, principal of Park City High School since 2012, is taking "personal leave, effective immediately," according to an email to parents from Park City School District Superintendent Ember Conley.

The email provides no information about the reason for the leave except that it is personal in nature.

“We are cognizant of the many facets of this situation and working to ensure stability for our staff and students at the high school,” Conley wrote. “When we have information that we can share, we will provide it. We ask for understanding, and respect for Mr. O’Connor’s privacy.”

O'Connor notified the high school staff on Wednesday.

"Counselors are on hand to assist students and staff with their concerns," Conley wrote.

O’Connor has worked for the district since 1997 and has served as an administrator at Treasure Mountain Junior High and Park City High School.

“Bob is a valued member of our community and a respected administrator,” wrote Conley. “We offer our support and will continue to do all we can for the staff and students at the high school.”
