Photos: Utah coalitions remember Sandy Hook victims five years after deadly shooting

Nearly 100 people attended a vigil at All Saints Episcopal Church in Salt Lake City on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, to mark the fifth anniversary of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

The vigil was sponsored by the Utah chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, the Gun Violence Prevention Center of Utah and members of the Gun Violence Prevention Coalition.

In 2012, Adam Lanza fatally shot 20 children between 6 and 7 years old, as well as six adult staff members at the school. Prior to driving to the school, he shot and killed his mother at their Newtown home. Sunday's vigil was one of more than 200 across the country commemorating the Sandy Hook shooting and asking lawmakers to do more to to end gun violence.
