America First gives $10K to 10 local humanitarian groups

FARMINGTON — Ten local organizations that work to improve the lives of others are $10,000 richer thanks to America First Credit Union Charitable Foundation and its nonprofit Community Assistance Program.

During a ceremony Tuesday night at the Fountain View Events Venue at Farmington Station, the 10 organizations received the checks to help continue their efforts.

The 10 organizations are: the Road Home, SafeNest, The Lantern House Homeless Shelter, YCC of Northern Utah, Cathedral of the Madeline Good Shepherd Program, For the Kids, Three Square, Food & Care Coalition, Catholic Community Services and Joyce Hansen Hall Food Bank.

The America First Credit Union Charitable Foundation supports several programs, including the Warm the Soles of Kids holiday shoe giving program, educational scholarships and the Community Assistance Program. The mission of the Community Assistance Program is to provide funds to assist the homeless and other disadvantaged individuals in the communities America First serves. Money is raised through member donations.
