Herbert fills vacancy on 6th District Juvenile Court

SALT LAKE CITY — Gov. Gary Herbert has appointed Brody Keisel as a judge on the 6th District Juvenile Court.

Keisel previously served as Sanpete County attorney, municipal prosecutor in Manti, and as deputy Sanpete County attorney. He has been responsible for 6th District Court prosecutions since 2003, and is an adjunct professor in criminal law at Snow College. He received a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska School of Law.

Subject to confirmation by the Utah Senate, Keisel will replace retiring Judge Paul Lyman.
