• A proposal to raise Utah's minimum wage to $10.25 per hour by July 1, 2018, and gradually increase to $15 by July 1, 2023, is scheduled to be presented the House Economic Development and Workforce Services Committee. HB147, sponsored by Rep. Lynn Hemingway, D-Millcreek, also would raise the cash wage obligation for tipped employees.

• Lawmakers are expected to discuss a bill that would require college counselors statewide to keep sexual assault reports confidential in a House Judiciary Committee. HB251, sponsored by Rep. Angela Romero, D-Salt Lake City, would apply to both private and public universities.

• A bill that would bar doctors from using telemedicine to remotely prescribe abortion-inducing medication is up for discussion in the Senate Health and Human Services Committee. The House last week voted 56-15 to approve HB154, sponsored by Rep. Ken Ivory, R-West Jordan.
