Jazz jersey sponsorship patch continues to gather acclaim

After being unveiled on Monday, the Utah Jazz's jersey sponsorship patch has received plenty of praise for its effort to raise money for cancer research. Sportslogos.net added more compliment fuel to the fire with its review of the sponsorship patch.

Demetrius Bell wrote, "While other teams have gone the corporate route with their sponsorship, it's very cool to see the Jazz get creative by deciding to go down the route of using their ad space for charity. Plus, from a visual standpoint, this works out like a thumb and seamlessly blends in with the rest of the uniform. It's not distracting and it's being used for a good cuase. This is as good as it'll get when it comes ot jersey sponsorships, so hats off to the Jazz and Qualtrics for their efforts here. "

Cougars and Utes go back-to-back in initial rankings

ESPN released their initial preseason college football rankings, putting Ohio State at no. 1. The rankings are based on FPI, which according to ESPN, "is designed to take the guesswork out of preseason ratings. It is an automated ranking intended to measure team strength going forward. It is not a ranking of who will have the highest win total (which is dependent on schedule) or who is most likely to make the College Football Playoff."

In the rankings, BYU came in at 49th and Utah right behind at 50th. Utah State landed at 99th.
