The Utah Grizzlies host Pink In The Rink Weekend this weekend when they play the Idaho Steelheads on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. It is the team’s 11th annual Pink In The Rink to support breast cancer awareness while honoring those that have fought breast cancer.

The team will be wearing specialized pink uniforms that will be auctioned off live after Saturday’s game with all proceeds going to local organizations fighting breast cancer, including the Susan G Komen Foundation, Swing For Life and others.

The jerseys will have the names on them of friends and family members of season ticket holders, corporate partners and staff members who have battled breast cancer.

After Friday’s game, fans will be invited onto the ice surface to write in special pink markers the names of their friends and family members who have been affected by breast cancer.

Fans will be able to purchase a weekend package to attend both games in the lower bowl starting at $20 at the Maverik Center Box Office with a portion of the proceeds going back to fight breast cancer. In addition, the Grizzlies will be selling $5 Pink Grizzlies Pink In The Rink T-shirts in the team store for ticket holders of games that weekend with again a portion of the proceeds going back to fight breast cancer while supplies and sizes last.

This is Bountiful Mazda’s third year of being the presenting partner for Pink In The Rink.

The Grizzlies are also home Feb. 20, for their next Maverik Monday and a President’s Day match at 1:30 p.m.
