LEHI — Crews are working to fix a sinkhole that opened in Lehi near I-15.

According to the Utah Department of Transportation, the sinkhole opened Wednesday about a mile north of the I-15 exit at state Route 92 in Lehi, the Daily Herald reported. The hole is only 3 feet deep and about 6 feet wide and is not affecting traffic.

Lehi city utility and UDOT crews are working to determine the cause of the sinkhole and to repair it.

UDOT spokesman John Gleason says there are several possible causes of the sinkhole, including a broken waterline or a hole in a drainage pipe.
