• Rep. Norm Thurston, R-Provo, plans to present three bills related to student vaccinations to the Health and Human Services Committee at 8 a.m.

• The so-called "stand your ground" bill, sponsored by Rep. Cory Maloy, R-Lehi, is on the agenda for discussion in the House Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Committee at 4:10 p.m. HB259 says a person does not have to retreat from an aggressor, even if there's a safe place to go. The bill would prohibit prosecutors from arguing that the person acted unreasonably by standing his or her ground.

• The same committee is scheduled to hear HB270, which would create a system for distributing inmates throughout state correctional centers. Sponsored by Rep. Jeremy Peterson, R-Ogden, the bill would also set a cap on the number of offenders that may be released to a community correctional center within a county.
