Bryleigh Richards smiles while wearing her BFG ears during a Matilda Extravaganza at the Salt Lake Main Library in Salt Lake City on Saturday. The event was held in anticipation of the Salt Lake premier of “Matilda the Musical” at the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Theater, which runs Tuesday through Feb. 26. The musical is based on the beloved children's book by British writer Roald Dahl. Saturday's extravaganza included games, face painting, a photo booth and a screening of the 1996 film. In addition, children were able draw a picture of their favorite Roald Dahl character. The drawings were collected and will be signed by the members of the musical's cast when they are in Salt Lake City. The drawings will returned to the child artists at a later date.
