SARATOGA SPRINGS — Residents are invited to attend an open house Tuesday to learn more about the upcoming construction on Redwood Road. The meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Saratoga Shores Elementary, 1415 S. Parkside Drive.

The Utah Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin the work this summer, which is designed to reduce congestion and extend the life of the road.

The project will be completed in two phases between now and 2018. This year, crews will widen Redwood Road from three to five lanes from 400 South to Lake View Terrace Road, and resurface the road from Village Parkway to the south for approximately 10 miles.

Work scheduled for next year includes constructing a new east-west continuous flow intersection at Pioneer Crossing and widening Redwood Road from three to five lanes from Lake View Terrace Road to Village Parkway.
