Morning links: Falk, Gustin, Lotulelei ranked among top 100 NFL draft prospects; Utah, BYU bowl games predicted

Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports looked at the top 100 NFL draft prospects for 2018 and former Utah high school players Luke Falk (Washington State) and Porter Gustin (USC) made the list as well as Utah's Lowell Lotulelei.

Trapasso had Falk as the highest rated of the three, coming in at No. 19, saying, "Falk probably would have been picked in the second or third round of the 2017 NFL Draft but decided to get one more year of schooling in Mike Leach's Air Raid offense."

Gustin was next of the three, as Trapasso ranked him No. 85, saying, "Gustin has the frame to play on the edge in the NFL — he's already 6-foot-5 and close to 260 pounds at just 20 years old. As a sophomore last season, he had 68 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks. Don't be surprised if Gustin, a former five-star recruit, becomes one of the premier edge-rushers in the Pac 12 this season."

Trapasso had Lotulelei at No. 92, saying, "Lotulelei has done a great job following in his brother Star's footsteps at Utah. He's matured into a disruptive force in the middle of the Utes defensive line. Like his brother, the 6-foot-2, 310-pounder can win in a variety of ways and consistently makes plays in the backfield. He had eight tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks last season."

Ranking every state by their college football teams

Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report ranked every state by their college football teams and Utah came in at No. 6 ahead of the likes of Texas, Louisiana, Ohio, Florida, Alabama and California.

Speaking of the programs from the Beehive state, Miller wrote, "Similar to Kentucky, Utah has two good schools to watch and one less appealing option."

Even though the Utes have won the last six matchups with the Cougars, Miller had his highest praise for BYU, saying, "BYU is the cream of the crop with 12 straight bowl games and at least eight wins in six consecutive years. Moreover, as an independent program, the Cougars do their damage against a wide range of competition."

Speaking of the Utes, he continued, "The Utah Utes have also been solid lately, winning at least nine games in each of the past three seasons. They slipped into a bit of a nadir after transitioning from the Mountain West to the Pac-12, but it didn't take long for them to become a legitimate contender in a power conference. They have been ranked in the final AP Top 25 in three straight years."

No. 1 in the rankings was Oklahoma followed by South Carolina and Pennsylvania.

And finally...Utah Jazz forward Boris Diaw posted a video on Instagram riding a Segway through Canyonlands National Park with the caption, "Too much hiking!! But the dogs still want to go for a run a sunset, so I had to take the segway."
