FARMINGTON — Festival Days 2017, a four-day event filled with family activities, is set to run Wednesday, July 5, through Saturday, July 8.
The festivities will kick off at 5 p.m. Wednesday with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the Farmington Gymnasium, 294 S. 650 West; the Little Miss Farmington contest at 6 p.m. at the Community Arts Center, 120 S. Main; and food trucks, a kids bike parade and a screening of 2008 animated film “Fly Me to the Moon” at Forbush Park, 100 Main, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Thursdays events will include a tennis tournament and a pickleball tournament beginning at 3 p.m., and a family bike race in the Legacy Center parking lot, 151 S. 1100 West, at 5:30 p.m.
On Friday there will be a charity motorcycle ride beginning at 5 p.m. at Forbush Park.
Saturday will kick off with a 10K and 5K at 7 a.m. at Farmington Elementary, 50 W. 200 South, while a breakfast at Forbush Park will run from 7 to 9 a.m. Cost is $5 per person or $20 for a family of five.
The annual parade will begin at 10 a.m. at 500 North and Main. The rest of the day’s events — including festival booths, tournament finals, free ice cream, a free concert by Ryan Shupe & the Rubber Band, and fireworks — will be held at Forbush Park. The evening will end with a dance for youths 14-18 at the Community Arts Center at 10:30 p.m.
