Commercial real estate group awards 2 $5,000 scholarships

SALT LAKE CITY — Commercial Real Estate Women Utah has named University of Utah student McKell Dalton and Weber State University student Brooke Harper as recipients of the 2017 CREW Utah Elevate Scholarships.

The $5,000 scholarships aim to support the advancement, achievement and success of women in commercial real estate. In addition to the scholarships, each recipient will receive a CREW Utah student membership.

Dalton is currently in the master's of real estate development program at the U. She works as a research analyst for CBRE, where she focuses on the office market. She was recently awarded the quarterly RISE award, which is given to the employee who best exudes the company’s values of respect, integrity, service and excellence. Dalton earned her bachelor’s degree in business management with an emphasis in finance from Brigham Young University.

Harper will be a senior this fall at WSU and is majoring in both interior design and professional sales. She works at MHTN Architects as an intern. She recently returned from a school trip to Europe where she was able to study the architecture and interior design of numerous historical buildings.
