Squatty Potty hopes to lure in emoji fans with a new Kickstarter campaign.

The Utah-based toilet stool company launched a Kickstarter campaign this week to gauge how much demand there is for a new product that can only be described as “a poo emoji toilet plunger,” according to a company press release.

The campaign, which will run for 30 days, seeks $70,000.

Discount for the potential plunger will be given to the first 100 pledges. Anyone who gives to the campaign and orders the device will receive it in September 2017.

So why a poop emoji plunger?

Robert Edwards, CEO and co-founder, said it fits in with the company’s overall brand.

"When you use a Squatty Potty stool, you will most likely notice more of a load in the toilet,” he said, according to a press release. “Thus, the need for a toilet plunger. In keeping with our brand humor, a poop emoji plunger was the only way to go."

Sqautty Potty isn’t the first company to launch a poo-emoji plunger. Both CNET and Mental Floss, as well as the Huffington Post, reported on a similar device.

“Originally, the Poo-Plunger was created as a joke. But if the project takes off, its designers hope to donate a portion of the novelty plunger's proceeds to charities that help improve access to sanitation facilities and clean drinking water,” according to Mental Floss.
