OREM — Utah Valley University has appointed Jessica Gilmore as the new associate vice president of outreach and economic and community development, effective Sept. 1.
Gilmore’s primary responsibility will be to coordinate UVU’s efforts to identify and address the full range of postsecondary educational needs of the university’s service area in partnership with other institutions.
Gilmore most recently served as dean of business, entrepreneurial programs and extended learning at Walla Walla Community College in Walla Walla, Washington. Prior to that, she served as director of customer service for Pearson Education and as tenured faculty and coordinator of business information technology at Highline Community College in Des Moines, Washington. She has also served as adjunct faculty at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
Gilmore is scheduled to complete her doctorate at City University of Seattle in 2018. She holds a master’s degree in computer education from Gonzaga University and a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from Central Washington University.
