Utah Grizzlies head coach and General Manager Tim Branham announced Wednesday that the team has reacquired forward/defenseman Ryan Misiak from the Rapid City Rush in exchange for future considerations.
“With Ryan’s familiarity with our organization and how we do things, it’s a natural fit to bring him back,” said Branham. “He has developed into an excellent player in this league.”
Misiak returns to Utah where he started the 2015-16 season and had eight goals and 16 assists for 24 points in 38 games in his rookie campaign. He was Rapid City’s third-leading scorer last year with 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points in 71 games.
“Ryan was never a player that we wanted to trade, but our roster was stacked at the time and it was the best thing for his career as a rookie,” said Branham.
Grizzlies opening night is Saturday, Oct. 14, when the Grizzlies host Colorado at 7 p.m.
