SALT LAKE CITY — Police are searching for two suspects in the shooting death of a man killed in Pioneer Park last week.

Salt Lake City police released a video of the two men Wednesday, asking for the public's help in identifying them.

One suspect was white or Hispanic, carrying a bag and wearing a dark baseball cap with a white logo, a dark hoodie and shorts. He had black-and-white, low-top Converse Chuck Taylors, the department said in a prepared statement.

The second suspect is believed to be African-American and was wearing a dark hat, white T-shirt, dark zip-up hoodie and bright white sneakers.

The department said it may offer a reward for information leading to a conviction.

In the early hours of July 26, officers responding to reports of shots fired found the body of Shawn Manymules, 26, on the west side of the park, police said. Heavy rain overnight hindered their investigation.

The shooting came a day after police said one man died in a series of assaults among homeless people near a freeway overpass west of the park.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Salt Lake police at 801-799-3000. Information can also be submitted by text to TIPSLCPD, followed by the message, to 274637. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
