The Utah Valley University volleyball team will unveil its 2017 team for the first time to the general public on Tuesday evening with the squad's annual Green and White scrimmage. The exhibition contest is free and begins at 6 p.m., at UVU's Lockhart Arena.

Tuesday's intrasquad scrimmage will mark UVU's lone exhibition prior to Friday's season opener against Pepperdine at the SJSU/USF Invitational in San José, California. The Wolverines then host their first official home match of the 2017 campaign on Thursday, Aug. 31, when No. 8 Kansas comes to town as part of the Wolverine Invitational.

Utah Valley, which tied for second in Western Athletic Conference play a season ago with a 10-4 league record and posted a runner-up finish at the 2017 WAC Tournament, returns five starters and 10 letterwinners in all from last year's squad. A trio of those returners were recently named Preseason All-WAC in seniors Madison Dennison, Sierra Starley and Lexi Thompson.

The Wolverines will also mix in five newcomers this year in sophomore transfer Megan Boudreaux (University of Utah), as well as four true freshmen in Kristen Allred (Maple Mountain HS), Seren Merrill (Orem HS), Makayla Pollard (Lone Peak HS) and Brynnly Ward (Mountain View HS).

UVU was recently picked to finish third in the WAC Preseason Poll.
