Twitter reacts to Tyler Huntley being named Utah's starting quarterback

All throughout fall camp, Utah coaches indicated that there was a legitimate race for the starting quarterback position between senior Troy Williams, the incumbent starter, and sophomore Tyler Huntley.

Williams was named a team captain last week, however, leading many to think he had won the job. In a press release on Monday, though, it was announced that Huntley will be the starter.

Ute players and coaches won't be available for comment on Monday, but Twitter users certainly had some strong reaction to the news.

Once the shock wore off for many, some provided further analysis of the decision.

Others noted how sophomores Huntley, Zack Moss and Demari Simpkins, who all went to the same Florida high school and became collectively known on Twitter as the #HallandaleTrio during their recruiting process, are all primed to have featured roles for Utah this fall.

One Twitter user summed up what the news means in the larger picture of the Utes' season beginning on Aug.31.
