Weddings are special occasions. It's a time for families and friends to gather and participate in the union and vows of a couple. But for one Indianapolis elementary school teacher, it was a joyous event to share with her students.
Marielle Slagel Keller invited her 20 kindergarten and first grade students to serve as flower girls and ring bearers at her June 24 wedding.
"They're the kids that mean to most to me," the bride told ABC News. "They're a part of who I am."
According to the news article, for many of the children this was the first wedding they had ever attended. And when the bride and groom kissed, the devoted teacher said there were a couple of kids who shielded their eyes.
